Morn' Anne! Just got me another coffee off the office coffee maker. Doesn't taste half as good as the one in here. How was the bowl? Unfortuatly it's at unreal time in Europe so I haven't seen it for years now (plus I like it cut, the breaks are just annoying). - Daniel

Good morning folks. kimmy, can you please pm me with your tentaitive skiing pland for Feb. 20. Super bowl was pretty good. I was rooting for Steve to win some money in his pool but no such luck. fortunately, everyone there was a patriots fan so there was no rioting at his house. As for the commercials, I liked the careerbuilder.com commercials, but I would have to say the best was the ameriquest commercials, especially the one where the "husband" comes home and is trying to cook dinner for his wife and the cat spills the spaghettig sauce and she walks in with the husband holding the cat covered in red sauce in one hand and a knife in the other. That was pretty funny. well, yall have a good day, I will be back in this afternoon for my lunch break to make sure you guys haven't ransacked the place. :) Erica

In reply to: what was your favorite commercial last night - i thought they were mediocre i didn't see too much, but i thought the m.c. hammer commercial was funny -- the one with the 'for sale' sign on his house. r.r.

the godaddy.com commercial was my favorite. my all time favorite was a bud light commercial from last year. "Honey, ive got the satin sheets on the bed... honey ive got my black teddy on...etc.

woooo hooooo pats! Although I have to say, that game was not all that fun to watch. But hey, I'm glad with the outcome. As for the commercials, I'm with Erica, the Ameriquest ones were great. I only saw two of them, don't know if there were more. Got back Friday night after 5 days of work in Flagstaff AZ. Colder there than it is here! We're losing all our snow :( Oh well. Groundhog did say more winter to come ;)

Seems that commercials where more entertaining than the game, so I'm not too sad I couldn't watch it :) Wouldn't have gotten the coms anyway. Really wish we had some snow here. It's beautiful weather though (someone described me in the "person above" thread with "complains about the German weather" or such, gotta change this  ). Cold ('round -8°C) but sunny. Perfect for a walk in the woods. If there was some... Have a nice one! - Daniel

HEY ANNIE!!!!! :) ;) Tisar, in the US the SuperBowl is actually commonly watched especially FOR the commercials, because they are all new and usually great (for 3 million bucks for 30 seconds, businesses spend wisely)... commercialys are especially enjoyed by those who really don't care all that much about the football part, which is usually me unless the pats are playing! ;)

Hmmm, isn't it a US tradition that self called patriots stomp endangered species into the ground? - Daniel

Morning Folks. Anne, thanks for being gracious about it. I have to admit, the clock management, or glaring lack thereof, was truly mystifying. But the Pats seem to do that to people. But either way YEAH PATS!!!!!!!!!!!

Literally, had to stop and go "Oh wait!! That's GOOD for us!!" Truly bizzarre, yet the news up here is saying there is little mention of this in the Philly press today. Is that true? Cause if that happened up here the coach would seriously be smart not to come home.

I haven't read a whole lot yet (will at lunch) but my brief scanning of the articles had one brief mention. This isn't the first time that Reid's clock management has caused pulmonary distress. And I think he'll be called on it.

The new breed of tame, safer commercials SUCKS.

Wide, I argee, tha't exactly what I was talking about. The whole Janet's boob thing from last year was just an excuse anyway. Did anyone actually see it that did'nt TIVO it or look at on the internet, I surely didn't. Besides how are they gonna convinve me to drink terrible beer, without using half dressed women. It's the only reason I can think of for drinking Bud, now they've taken that away!! Oh the humanity.

I saw it live and knew just what it was, but no, it was hardly the deal they made of it. And you're right, It was a red herring anyway for the crackdown the FCC wanted anyway. And I'm sorry I don't care how good the commercial is, there is NO WAY I'm drinking Bud Light. And I'm sure as HELL not jumping out of a plane for it.
