When you bought your Five Tens, did you buy a size that is equal to what you wear for regular street shoes or did you buy one size below that? Thanks!

I tried to buy the Hueco a little while ago and they don't have them. Too bad that they don't let you see what sizes they have available.

I wouldn't get the mesa for trad, especially if you're a crack climber (crack=trad?)

I bought mine in my street shoe size.
I won't wear shoes with laces for crack climbing, I use anaszi mocasym's for that cause they are relatively cheap and comfy, but if your trad climbing doesn't involve sustained foot jamming then get the mesa, just get them at least at your street shoe size, they are basically a lace up anasazi velcro.

I just got these in the mail today, a little loose in the heel, but I bought them in my street size, I like em a little big lately all my friends are getting jacked up feet from wearing tight shoes for 10 or more years.

I just got mine today too. And the right shoe is smaller than the left. it kind of sucks because my right foot is bigger than my left. when i hold the shoes together to compare them, the right is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch smaller. Is this type of thing common? This is only my second pair of climbing shoes, my first are exactly the same lenght. Would 5.10 exchange them, maybe? I'm worried that the left is actually bigger and if i sent them back i would have two small shoes. the left feels like it was made for my foot, perfect fit.

I ordered a pair, and they were far smaller than I expected. I wear 9-9.5 street, and literally couldn't get size 9 zlippers on my feet. They were really nice and let me return them, but couldn't figure out if I needed 9.5 or if I had to go up to a 10, or (worst case) the sizes are just inconsistent.
I'm not sure I'll buy climbing shoes anymore where I can't try on the exact shoes I'm buying.

I am sorry to hear about the sizing problems, I have heard this is rather frequent for five ten. I have also heard that they have the best customer service, you should give them a call. You might want to measure the bottom of the shoes and ask if they can find a right shoe that will match the left shoe, these shoes won't stretch much at all.
