I grew up in 29 Palms. My parents house was a
couple of miles down the road from Indian Cove.
I started climbing with ropes in 1966 at JT when I was 11, 1960 without ropes.(stupid kid!) I have climbed in Ca,Or,Wa,Az,Nv,Co,Wy,Id,Ut. NY, Alaska and Squamish in Canada. Due to a few injuries over the years,(most of them not climbing)my climbing level has gone down. I lead
(trad) in the 5.9 range and can follow without too many difficulties 5.10c. I have led harder, but I do not want to take the chance of reinjuring my knee or back.
I know, I'm an Old Geezer, but I still love to climb and have fun! And always will!
