Crusty old climber with more injuries then I can count, including a back that has been broken in four places.
But don't let that deter you, it will be a few years yet before I will be employing porters to carry the haul-bag. Although perspective partners with extraordinarily strong backs are a definite asset ;)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been climbing since I was 14 years old, worked at various outdoor camps teaching climbing, Outward Bound Mountain School, volunteered with various Search and Rescue groups, founded Upward Youth Mountain Club, introducing kids to the mountains and climbing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At some point over the years I've immersed myself in every aspect of climbing but prefer trad climbing especially long multi-pitch routes that involves aid.
These days I am primarily concentrating on new routing, although I still enjoy teaching people to trad climb and am always in the market for belay slaves.

Hostel.. errmm.. I'd have to dig down and find the floor, but I assume there must be a spot or two there somewhere :P
-----------------------------
Please don't take this "skills"/grade thing too seriously, I manage to get out pretty much every weekend and the climbing generally ends up in the 5.6 - 5.8, or WI3'sh range. I'd much rather go explore new areas then stand around a crowded sport cliff trying to prove my worth. I've been leading trad for a looong time and love to teach others, especially those who want to make the transition from gym/sport. I have no problem leading everything if you want to just get out in the mountains but aren't quite comfortable leading or placing gear, etc. yet. I have enough gear to start my own climbing store, so as long as you have your own personal gear, helmet, harness, & shoes, you're welcome to come join me. If you'd like to meet a small group of like minded locals, check out [blue]our thread[/blue], or come join us at Nick Pizza every Wed. evening at 8:00 PM. Message me for details, I'll meet you there and introduce you to everyone!
