Great, but very heavy

These adjustable daises are the best on the market in terms of functionality. They are the only daises that can be released under a load. However they are very heavy, they weigh in at 207g which is a bit heavier then Yates claims they weigh on their website. Two of them weigh more than four Black Diamond nylon daises. But the functionality is unquestionable.

Love 'em. Much more functional and useful than the metolius daisies, sorry. THey're bigger and bulkier -- so they're going ot be a big slower, but its worth it for the extra 1200 lbs of strength over the 300 lb metolius daisies.

The whole concept of adjustable daisys is fabulous. These things make everything easier, whether its aiding a bolt ladder, ascending a line, or just adjusting to a more comfortable belay stance. Only drawbacks are that they wear quickly and are not strong enough to hold a hard leader fall - so belay off the anchor or backup with a tie in point on the rope.

I have used this adjustable daisey and have found it to be extremely versatile. I am very comfortable useing it when I know that I have to make lots of sneaky adjustments both up and down for work positioning. Comparing it to the Metolius adjustable daisey, well, they both have their place and it is a matter of choosing the right one for the particular job in mind. I`d recommend this bit of gear. Great for aid as well as industrial rope access work.
