Best snow shoe Ive worn 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: mtnkid85, 2008-05-08

Ive owned a set of the Lightning ascents for two or three years now. Im very happy with them. They climb really well due to all the tracition from the sides of the shoes along with the conventional cleat/crampon. The heel lifter I thought was kinda gimmicky until this last winter when I followed a very steep trail for a mile or so, then I realized how nice they where. For short hills though i dont bother putting them up though. The weight is also a nice benifit. The straps work well, there is no webbing to ice up. Last but absolutly not least they are MADE IN USA! Support the companys who arent sending american jobs overseas!

All in all Im very pleased with these snow shoes, and compared to my partners and friends redfeathers, atlases, yukon charlies, tubbs they are the best snowshoe Ive experenced.
