What can I say, I love my Kong biners! These have a great feel in hand and comfortable gate tension. These outperform any other biner I've used including my most recent addition of BD positrons. I just wish Kong was more available in San Diego, and that they made a wirelock version of the Ultratop.

the nicest wiregate carabiners I have ever used, they are extremely resistant compared to other wiregates with 27x10x10 resistance and the action of the wiregate is the nicest I have ever seen. The initial opening inertia of the gate is high but once it´s open past the rope clearance the gate opens with very little effort, and yet, smack this thing against your hand and it will produce much less of a "click" on impact than other wiregate carabiners that are much harder to open and get the rope through. the end result of this being that this carabiner is very easy to clip into and will not pinch the rope upon clipping.

completely recommended to all climbers, may be a bit on the heavy side for people that count to the last gram
