Have lefty and righty. I've used them on fixed traverses and like how they come on/off the rope eaisily. Great agressive teeth. Wonder what they'd do on a shock load?

these are what i think of when i think of ascenders. they are easy to use one handed and move through the rope at a good clip. good pick up

These are great to have around even when you don't aid climb. I use mine a lot, for other applications like slackline tightening systems and even a few non-climbing things. Excellent tool.

This is one of my favourite ascenders. really comfy to use. I bought both of mine on sale, but they are a little price. They are a little pricy, but they are worth every penny. I would recommend getting one of them, not both. If you need two ascenders, then get the petzl basic and the petzl ascension. great ascender!
