as with any canister stove, this one is limited. I use it for backpacking in warmer weather and at elevations lower than 7000 feet. Anything out of those parameters and I go to the old trusty whisperlite. In its zone, this little "rocket" is killer! I find myself eating a lot more hot lunches on day hikes from camp than usual!

i liked the size of the stove but the base is a little small so watch where you are setting it

Anytime you are trying to save space and weight you compromise. This stove strikes a good balance. You couldn't get much smaller or lighter. Sets up and burnse easilty and resists wind. The base is a little small so set it flat and don't bump the pot. As with all canisters you will need two cans of fuel if you don't know how much is in the one you already cracked. Overall you can't beat this one to go fast and light.

Small, light, efficient, and an excellent value. I love this stove. I found that Markill Power Fuel works better than the MSR fuel. I live at 7000 feet, where this stove. works great. I haven't used it any higher yet. Wind affects it quite a bit though, keep it sheltered.

This is probably the best piece of gear I own. So very small, so light weight, so uncomplicated. And hot coffee in under 2 minutes! It has worked well for me in low temps, but I have not tested it at altitude.
