You dont have to go far to climb hereThis is my friend Dane setting up an anchor for us to try the overhanging 5.11 after climbing the 5.10b. The bolts were set up by a man named Steve Garvey and anyone who has climbed his routes up here know why you dont just shoot for the hard routes unless you are sure you can make the clips! There are only 2 bolts before he gets where he is now. The beautiful scenery is marred a bit by the passing vehicles which keep communication down to a minimum but make getting there super easy!

Dane goes for the overhangThis is a wonderful 5.11b that i decided to skip! He told me that he was unable to make it up last time but thought he would give it a shot and made it up with just a few takes. Next time on lead!

First Line of 2005?Here's James (skinnyjim) having some fun on a line we put up New Years Day after discovering that the gym was closed. Great fun, and what a tiring weekend.

Overbolting City FolkI seriously could never justify bolting a route at this place. Every route is at the level of a highball boulder problem, and the walkoff takes mere seconds. This crack offered some sweet hand jams and fingerlocks, and someone threw in a bolt out to the right of my right hand. Cool problem though, for a highway climb. Much appreciation to James for the pic.

James (skinnyjim) on Pivot Point 5.10aPicture of me on Pivot Point (5.10a), a route in the Pivot Point area just off of the Seward Highway. The route is an interesting and somewhat greasy climb with a bouldering start. There is a possible grounder between the second and 3rd bolts, but there is a nice crack in the chimney to make a placement. All in all a good climb.

Erin on Road WarriorJust a shot to show the route. Long slings help to reduce rope drag on this one if you are leading.

Little Free Solo BoyOk, ok... So, it's a short free solo. My boy with his feet about 7 feet off the ground with a nice fat pad under him, aiming for the sky. I love the look of pure climbing joy on his face. I sure wish I was climbing when I was five...
