Lord of the Flies approach

Average Rating = 1.00/5 Lord of the Flies approach

This is looking down from the top of Lord of the Flies. The rappeling climber is just about to touch down on the ledge. This photo is intended to help those looking for the route. It also gives some perspective on how steep the route actually is.

Mind Over Matter

Average Rating = 2.60/5 Mind Over Matter

Formerly the aid route "Comrades in Slings". "Lord of the Flies" climbs a huge hollow flake up to the dihedral where a short finger crack leads to desperate (understatement) stemming. This route is similar to Narcoleptic Epic at Shovel Point, but overhanging. Racking on a gear sling is essential, as you need to scum your body into the diheadral on all sides at some point on the route.

pelliott on Quetico Crack and

Average Rating = 0.00/5 pelliott on Quetico Crack and

This is pelliott (on the left) trying to get back into the "crazy offwidth" of Quetico Crack (5.8) while Daniel and Larry "jug" the overhanging offwidth of Superior Crack (5.8+). Two fabulous climbs of about 100 feet. At the bottom of these routes you're at the top of a boulder/talus field that falls off another 100 feet to Lake Superior.
