This brilliant route in Red Rocks on Brownstone Wall ascends the right facing dihedral between the pillar on the left and the wall on the right. Get out the #5 boys and girls (and slide it 80 feet up this bitch placing crap behind it because your partner used the #3 and #4 in the anchor).

This me coiling the rope after climbing on Olive Oil. The weather played many tricks on us that day. First it was clear, then it rained, then stopped, then rained, stopped, rained, snowed, rained, snowed, stopped. Then about 30 minutes later it started raining again...and didn't stop...and rained harder...until at the last pitch (a dihedral) it was pouring down the crack like a freakin' waterfall. I never thought I'd need to tape my hands for a climb in Red Rocks, but this one is pretty straight in crack climbing.

This is just after pitch 4, the hole that you climb through. Katie led this and had a little trouble getting through with the rack and all the gear.

Brad Stewart leading the second pitch of Desert Solitaire 5.9 A3+. A thin crack in a tight corner, Brad used 9 knifeblades to get through this pitch. To me, it seemed as though this was the most continuously difficult pitch on the route.

The hook placements on this pitch seemed pretty secure - I've seen worse...
