Me Belaying Aaron on Eye SocketsEye sockets is a tough route. You have to climb the face aiming for a bolt inside two large huecos in the roof. Crank over the lip and climb the face to the ledge.

Rapping The NoseThis may be the best picture to date! I'm rapping down, going to start cleaning the Nose. This is the second picture I've submitted, both of me on route entitled The Nose. There's a big blank runout on this, so cleaning is a breeze. Thanks to Casey for getting this picture (and the rest for the day)!

What the heck! This is Noell, a very skilled and dedicated climber stepping unreasonably high in a chimney on Crowders Mountain, NC 20030914. Not only would I require major surgery should I attempt this move but looking at it makes me want to down a couple of Advil just to be safe. What amazes me more is somehow she made this move.

Squeezing up the CaterpillarThis is Noell as she works the endless chimney of the Caterpillar (5.7) at Crowders Mountain, NC 20030914. You can ask her and she'll tell you it sucked but I like it because if you want to learn chimneys, this is a good start. Watch out for spiders as they like the chimneys too.

Hanging My BrotherAhh...the good ole days when I first started climbing. This area is now in Crowder's Mtn State Park. But it is in an area known as Buzzards Roost or Dixon Gap. We used to top rope and boulder down there a few years ago because we knew the man that owned the land before the state park acquired it.

Sick Boulder ProblemThis is a picture of my friend Justin goofing around on a boulder problem that we used to call "Loco." Because it was painted onto the other side of the rock. No...you didn't actually have to do this to send the route unfortunately, but if you did it mid route you got mad cool points.

My first bouldering problemWe were on the way down from Crowder's Mountain, and I saw this incredible bouldering problem, and I had to try it. I don't boulder much, but now I know why you boulderers love it so much. It's INTENSE!

Kings MountainThis is actually Kings Mountain. It's just a few miles south of Crowders. Climbing is prohibited in this area but I have seen two bolted lines that looked really good and probably in the 5.10 to 5.11 range.
