This is a shot of me at Rifle, our first trip there and our first route. Rifle is fun. Though this route is polished. Really polished.

This was a trip a few climbing buddys of mine and I took in fall of 03 This is at Rifle and the route is called Family unit 11d. For me it was at my max 7 clips of overhung pump. sent on my 5th try.I think it was about 40-50 feet.

Yeah, it can happen. Me on lead and in Rifle of all places. The route was 5.7 but the crux felt 5.8. Very fun, well protected route.

My climbing partner Brook toproping Curtain Call (WI4/5), mid-January. This is a route in and amongst the ice around Final Curtain, which is apparently now completely unclimbable. Ah, the ephemeral pursuit of ice.

My climbing partner Brook, still higher on Curtain Call. You can tell its higher because its a dreaded butt shot. A little while later his belayer, Josh, gave Brook's tools a swing. While weighting one of them, it popped and Josh got a hammer in the face. Unfortunately, the bloody nose that resulted did not turn out well on film.

This photo was taken January 11, 2003. There is not a lot of ice so far this year in the canyon. There were several good lines this day, however it was a little wet.
