Big Bend bouldering in Moab Utah. The boulder fields are just off on Hwy 128, at MM8. It's a great place to climb.

Here is a picture of myself on an excellent boulder problem at the Big Bend boulders in Moab area, UT.

This is my favorite boulder problem at Big Bend. Its in a small cave created by a large split boulder just up from the parking lot. In the picture, I'm grabing a pincher with my left and a hand jam with the right, higher up it takes you over a bad landing and I bailed off from a cobination of being flamed and fear.

Me and some friends went to Moab one weekend in November. Along with doing some trad in Arches National Park we spent the morning bouldering in the Big Bend area near the river. This is some random un-named problem, probably V2.

A pic from Spring Break '04...Yeah! We met this guy, Phu, at Big Bend. Super nice fella. Here he is on Center Start. We worked this boulder for quite some time.

Not sure what the problem is called, but it was roadside @ Big Bend and a blast. This is a shot of the sde pull at the begining of the problem.

Not sure exactly where this problem was, but I do remember it was a fun, good warm up witha few good moves.

Great warm-up at Big Bend, the weather was a bit on the chilly side, unexpected for the end of april, but it made the bouldering great!

These were my hands after four days of bouldering at Big Bend. Good times... Good times.

Me and a buddy went down to big bend, moab to boulder around for a bit for spring break. There was a guy there doing this problem and i tried it after him. Not sure the name, but it started down left of where i am and i am about to get my ass kicked by the crux. Left hand blank slap with a semi-dyno finish to jug at top.

Here is some more road trip pictures. We stopped in Moab mostly for the mountain biking and to give the old tendons a rest, but we couldn't pass up the bouldering - way fun!

This is from our second trip down to Big Bend, Utah. Still working all the problems and making our way up to trying Chaos in two weeks. I'm not sure what problem this is, though. It starts on a good crimp and a lip, then you move out to two crimps and then a good shelf to mantel on. Ben Rueck's the photographer.

This is me onsighting an anonymous V4 shelf behind the black box boulder in Big Bend. It's a cool three move problem, up the shelf onto a crimp, followed by one of the scariest top-out's I've ever done. It involves a heel-hook on a very inclined top. I'll try to get a shot of it next time I'm there. I'm being spotted by Will Nikkel. The photographer is my buddy Ben Rueck.

Great problem at Big Bend. The only thing missing is my ass.
