Climbing locals point and laugh while newbie and kachoong prove their "people-like" skillz

Finally lead a route today (Community Chest, 5.7)...took an amusing fall before clipping into the anchors, but I blame that on complacency. You shoulda seen the faces of my climbing buddies...it was so worth it.

Scale Wall (on the left)--seven routes, from 5.7 to 5.10c From this side, you call see all of Scale Wall, a peek into Horseshoe Canyon (mid pic) and just a bit of Memorial Wall (on the right). This is the view as you come off the trail up into the ASRA climbing area.

Again, a bit of a view into Horseshoe Canyon....and a peek into the steep climb up to Wreckage Wall.

Christopher working Caught Inside like nobody's business...it's a pretty tricky 5.10c, although if you ask the last few people who have attempted to send it, it may be underrated ;-)

Christopher savors the moment after on-sighting Vaca-Villain, an excellent 5.10b in Horseshoe Canyon.

Creepshow--5.8....For those of you that remember the old "horror" movies of the same name, this is my rendition....although it didn't involve running over a homeless guy, it was nonetheless just as painful to watch :-)

Unknown (5.9) is the name of this route, as well as the answer to why I subject myself to such torture....

My first day of bouldering went well.....and by well I mean I managed to come away sans broken bone material, and only topped off on one climb.

Hmmm....somehow this looks easier when other people do it....

Very fun climb...overhangs R awesome! Next time, I'm leadin' that beeyotch!!

Man, I love my new shoes!! They help me climb like the true, solid 5.6'er I am. :-) Seriously, though, I do love them. A lot. Maybe too much.

Very fun flake system...until you're face-to-face with the sun, that is! OK, not literally face-to-face...I guess I was at least a good seven inches from that big ball o' gas and light...

Reminds me of a cool tattoo I once saw on this site...
