Boldering at Boat Rock...My first night expedition...closely followed by my first night fall. Somehow it hurts worse to hit a dark ground! This is my profile pic and my first post. Thanks to everyone for making me a RC.com junkie!

This is me on the problem at Yellow Arete. But atlas, at the end of the day the Arete was left on my tick list.

This is me on a slab face on the Yellow Arete area at Boat Rock. I'm not sure of the grade but there is practically nothing on this face to hold onto other than the classic finger-puncturing boatrock crystals.

This is Hueco Blob, a SDS that I think is a V3 or 4. I couldn't do it this day, but my friend got a picture of me with my head stuck in an undercling. It looks pretty amusing. Take notice of the broken hold at the top. That thing shakes like crazy when you get a hold of it. You can tell where it has broken before, possibly making this problem easier.

The Yellow Arete seemed to play with our heads. So we set up a toprope on a lonesome bolt (see crimper's photos). Here, TJ gathers his moves in his head for another push.

After snapping a few shots of TJ crawling up the Yellow Arete, I noticed this lonely bolt anchored tightly into the cold granite. We placed a few quickdraws on it and a top-rope, to help aid in the send of the Yellow Arete (V4).

This was our first trip to Boat Rock. And with it came new routes to be conquered. Yet, the Yellow Arete (V4) left us both without its tick on our list. Here, TJ tests out a rapid succession of possible move sequences. Ouch.

This is a great problem. the crux is at the top, which is kind of high.

Great line on a beautiful arete. The top out is a bit of a high ball. The rock quality at Boat Rock is awesome, a real southern jewel.

This is a great bouldering problem on the Spiderman Boulder at Boat Rock, Atlanta, Georgia. This is my final move from low matched hands to a slapper on top. Thanks to Will Galvin for the picture!
