great great climb. even though it is a 5.12 it is pretty easy but the steepness of the climb is what gets to you

Pulling through the crux of The Crusher

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Pulling through the crux of The Crusher

Pulling on the crux undercling of "The Crusher" (11d). It's really a good undercling when you get above it, but while you're below it, it's a bad pinch you have to stand up on.

Approaching the chains of The Crusher (11d)

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Approaching the chains of The Crusher (11d)

Even though it's all jugs, the pumpyness really starts kicking in here, in the convenient little overhang that guards the chains. The severely overhanging arete in the background is Predator (13b)

Unknown Climber on Predator

Average Rating = 3.52/5 Unknown Climber on Predator

I took this over the summer at Rumney, NH. My friends and I had just finished climbing, and wanted to see if anyone was up on Predator (5.13b). Lo and behold, this guy was, and later on a couple of French climbers. An amazing climb and an amazing view.

The monster of Orangahang !

Average Rating = 2.80/5 The monster of Orangahang !

This is a funny key hold in the route Orangahang. I call it the monster. When I give my beta, it sounds like : ok, re-bang with the left under the monster, then cross with the right in the mouth, yes ! Match, jam your left inside the mouth, clip ! Perfect ! Now, put your right thumb in the eye of the monster and undercling his palate ! It's done ! It works pretty well !

Taming the Predator

Average Rating = 4.23/5 Taming the Predator

This was sent out to the mountaineering club mailing list here at Dartmouth College awhile ago. Photo was taken by Michael Golub '03, showing Gabriel Martinez '99 on the Predator 5.13b. Gabe hurt his left heel earlier that day and decided to just tape it up and play around shoeless for the rest of the afternoon.
