Don't surrender to ISO's new pumpfest: NO White Flag!

I fell after nabbing the crux, just pumped out. I have to be fresh for this one. Steep incuts lead to thin fingertips and small knob pulling at the crux. Wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. I figure it's @ 12ish. Melinda took on nikon digital 081405.

It is a steep crack on a slick wall. Brett styles up the hands portion. The route starts up an easy ramp with a couple spacey bolts before committing to the finger crack part. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 061805.

John de-snagging the line as I lead past first roof on Gear and Moaning. Lot of thin pro and a few bolts make this long line exciting and thought-provoking when it comes to reducing rope drag. Melinda M. took on nikon digital 061205.

A day with friends on two separate walls. I was looking at warhippies and my friends strolling up it. Brett and I were on winter wall. Taken on a fine veteran's day November 2004. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 111104.

We had a fine fall day in northern AZ. The arete is done, dust still on the face. The pro is bolts and nuts, cams. LaurelJA is coming up the middle of the 2nd pitch, nearly at the new bolt. Clean and @ 250' tall for 3 pitches. Sonso45 took on nikon digital 100804.

The last pitch was very solid and clean, we tossed some stuff off the previous 2 pitches. It is much nicer now. Great lead, marvelous day with friends. Sonso45 took with nikon digital on 092404.

I think Manny would like to call it "Cleaner" after sending 100's of pounds of loose stuff in to the void. Closer is now a much more solid route..

MR on first ascent of The Gambler, a wide crack with nice features to get you through the OW. Named after a good friend aka John Rosholt.

This was straight forward jamming on a smooth crack but a tough beginning since it was overhung.

A thin mid section on this long pitch makes it a great romp, if you like thin crack.

mandrake leads on the green lichen covered rock on EGG's crack. Solid pro and neverending cool moves make this a very pleasant outing. The route ends up at the dead grey tree visible on the skyline. MR took on nikon digital 032004.

Sonso45 is 20' from the crux roof and the end to a beautiful climb. Mandrake and I both thought it a climb well worth doing again. The route eats pro like butter. Slowdive took on digital 032004.

It sounded like Bret was really enjoying this first pitch on the Green Wall. Beautiful line that now goes to the top thanks to Manny and Bret.

Manny and Bret, 7 years after Ben and I did the first pitch, topped out on Everything's Gone Green via a crack system that begins 30' to the right. Looks tough, but Manny says there are plenty of face holds to help weak people like me ;)
