11 of us from the Brown University Outing club headed down to The Red for spring break. We had amazing weather and great climbing. Here is Ben leading his first 10a.

it was soooooooo cold in the red. a high of like twenty and a low of five. we had a disturbing amount of trouble on a 5.8 because of the cold. it made me sad.

my friend Burks being very cold while geting into his shoes. we didnt do very well that day mostly because of the cold.

Classic RRG arete. Bouldery start to a super thin finish.

This fine climb had technical hole crimping to some fun overhanging jugs, superb.

Although I normally think chalk takes away from the compostition of a picture, I really liked the way it added to this one. Now if only I could remember the name of the route....

This is me climbing Laws. I made it to the top, but in ugly fashion. Credits to Redpointron for snapping the pic. We were chased off the first section of the Flank by thunderstorms, thus the misty effect.

This was nicks first trip to the Red and this is is a pic of his first sport lead on Mr. Bungle. He did a great job and I think he is hooked on lead climbing.

...had to get back on this route... needed to do it clean... and success...

...i had to clip this bolt twice... went to fast the first time and the digital camera couldnt take the photo... so here i am "struggling" to clip it..

...last climb.... last clip before the shuts... can't wait to go back...

...fun route, great crux down low, and then a "pump" crux just before the finish... they both got me... wish i had seen those jugs up to my left...

One of my favorite 5.10a sport climbs at Red River. The finish has claimed many.

This route is a Red River Gorge classic and a well traveled one at that (as you can see from all the chalk runoff). I am at the bolt just below the "height dependent" crux move.
