South Pillar traverses left below the snow slope to gain the center arête; Regular Route ascends right of the picture to gain the top of the ridge on the right before heading along this left and up to the summit.

Local Hazard to Low-Flying Aircraft Jason B. nears the finish line of Straits of Fear. This 320' route sports a bit of everything that defines Adirondack climbing: wilderness approach, unkempt routes, bats in the cracks, and a bit of loose rock judgment. Oh, and of course, a long run-out or two. Toss in the guaranteed lack of a queue and that makes it perfect!
