After topping out Olympus, found a solo climber who had dislocated his shoulder on a fall off the summit block. We were unable to reduce it, so I had to jog the 10 miles back to the ranger station with a 40lb pack to reach radio. Brought in the chopper for direct flight to Harborview. About 12,000mg of Aleve later I decided that once up Olympus is plenty.

This is why, when your buddy is about to thread the anchor for a rap, you tell him to pull a few feet of slack and clove hitch that bitch to his harness. Nothing like hauling one end of the rope back up the route sans belay. Our third party, as you might guess, had a camera but no harness. Some would refer to this as a sh*t-show.
