Doohhhh!!!!!!!Climbed Grotto Falls, then set up a top rope to do a few laps on a steep section that doesn't quite top out anymore due to melting....about two meters up I put my axe directly into the middle of my rope!! nice shot....don't think I could do that again if I tried. Good thing I sharpened my pics the other day so it would cut better.....crap......

ice ice babyThe middle section of the falls had water running down, and it created some pretty cool formations, along with a very musical sound. The picture doesn't really do it justice. I'm not sure exactly how horizontal icicles form.

Hiking up to YamThis shot was taken shortly after leaving the parking lot headed up to Yam to climb Grillmair. It's a long hike in, but well worth the effort.

Pitch 5 and it still looks like a long way to go!Dave and I took a breather at the top of pitch 5. It's funny, from the ground it doesn't look all that high, yet 3 hours and 5 pitches later, it still looks almost as far to the top as it did when we started.

Colourful GearWhen I took this picture I was just trying to get some perspective of the height by showing the ground down below, and for some reason everything up close came out bright and colorful, and all of the background is all grey. It was by accident, but I thought it made a pretty cool effect.

Topping OutThis is Dave topping out of the chimney. It's pretty cool when you come out of the dark chimney through that little hole, and all of a sudden you find yourself on flat ground at the top. I was cursing the shoes attached to the back of my harness a little as a climbed out. It's a pretty tight squeeze and I almost got stuck for a minute.
