There were so many untouched boulders up at about 11,000 feet. The approach was only four days.

It was all i could do to stay off these rocks, but i think the Machu Pichu security people(yes, there was a security staff) would have kicked me down the mountain.

This may or may not have been a new route on Bastion Peak, I've not been able to find any document of a previous ascent, but the line was just so obvious that it's hard to belive that noone ever climbed it before. Who knows?

Deep Joy! Fun Route, time to drive seven hours home!

From the second belay of Beulah's Book, I observed these Alaskans marveling at the remarkable standing stone atop The Friar

On the way back from sunny and steep crag, this unknown climber became a part of the landscape.

Walking back from Sunny and Steep means passing the Monkey Bars boulder, where Colin and I consecutively flashed its titular boulder problem. And I surprised myself by sending the much harder Monkey Up on my fourth or fifth try.
