Tim at Stange Edge

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Tim at Stange Edge

Tim on a fun, easy route in the Peak District. Awesome climbs, but cold wind and rain don't add to much to the experience.

Climbing on the Beach

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Climbing on the Beach

The sea-wall at Aberystwyth beach is a fun place to climb when you get bored of the indoor wall. The sand makes for a soft landing but falling is difficult because the amount of good holds are endless. The height is the fun bit - about 15 ft - something I wouldn't normally do. Photo by: Tim Willson

Neil Boulering at the Pass

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Neil Boulering at the Pass

Neil from Aber Mountaineering club doing a slippery but fun route at Cromlech. After climbing all day, we showed up at Cromlech tired, cold, and in pain but we still managed to have some fun.

Sophie climbing at Comlech Boulders

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Sophie climbing at Comlech Boulders

Sophie climbing a fairly simple route at Comlech Boulders. Holds are polished but plentiful and positive making it a propitious problem for tired climbers.

Profile shot of Upper Tier

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Profile shot of Upper Tier

Upper Tier is a really fun area; a large flat area at the foot of the crag would be ideal for camping, but check the guide book first as I'm not sure about the legalities.

Wet day at the Upper Tier

Tim and Dan make their first impressions of the Upper Tier. Lots of fun routes when dry. Awesome views of the area from the top.

Climbing at Upper Tier

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Climbing at Upper Tier

Dan leading a wet, scary (I would imagine) route at the Upper Tier. Tim's on belay duty. If you head up to Tremadog check out Eric's barn for a place to stay. Really cheap and within minutes walk to the crag.

wet Idwal Slabs on Halloween weekend

Average Rating = 3.00/5 wet Idwal Slabs on Halloween weekend

Crowded Idwal Slabs in North Wales (Snowdonia) on what seems to be another typical cold, wet day. The University of Aberystwyth Mountaineering Club is getting out their swim suits and snorkeling fins.

Trad Climbing in Snowdonia, Wales

Adam and I hanging out on the third pitch of a climb at Idwal Slabs (close to Betws Y Coed) in Snowdonia. My first multi-pitch, slowly adjusting to the heights. Taking in the breath-taking landscape of Wales.

Dan leading at Stanage Edge

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Dan leading at Stanage Edge

Awesome day of climbing in the Peak district despite waking up to a cold rainstorm. It's a good thing we decided to tough it out instead of going indoors. Dan's leading a fairly simple route just as the sun makes a grand appearance.
