....my first LONG multipitch experience had us climbing with no daylight to spare.... At over 600 feet, Cornerstone Rib (14) in the heart of the Warrumbungles is still the most exposed rock route of its grade I have ever climbed....

....and the whole time I was wondering where the crux was....

Ryan (??) gaining the 2nd belay with two pitches remaining. I had just been hit on the face during the lead by a block of ice. I first saw blackness as I struggled to stay conscious, and with a bloody nose I continued on and we finished the climb.

It's times like this one really has to appreciate the real essence of climbing.... sun, warmth, endless views.... gotta love SE Queensland!

Erik tries his luck at using his teeth.... for those of you unfamiliar with Australian carrot bolt climbing the strength of a hanger must first be tested before clipping a quickdraw to it.... the teeth are the most available option....
