Red Rock SouvenirOne of the many roadsigns I photographed during my USA trip. If anyone can send me a pic of the Las Vegas roadsign showing a family of ducks (there's at least one in the city and I didn't photograph it), I would appreciate it.

A kind of Paradise : SaoûSaoû is a forest located on a perched limestone synclinal : almost all faces of this geological feature can be climbed. Sport, Trad, Aid. Single pitches, multi-pitch routes. Everything. And it's in Provence, east of Montélimar. Here you can see Roche Colombe (left) and La Poupoune (right) which are on the west extremity of Saoû. January 2007. Canon Digital Ixus 850IS.

"sac à pof"Lionel is holding a "sac à pof". It's a piece of fabric in which you put a mix of rosin and chalk or pure chalk, then close with a lace or cordelette. The loose side is used to hit the rock to put dust and chalk away, while the filled-in side is used to put chalk on your hands through the stitches of the fabric.

using a "sac à pof"Lionel using the loose side to remove old chalk from the rock. It's less effective than the recycled toothbrush, but quicker and easier for higher holds.

1001 Faces (F7a) #2Lionel in another attempt of this V5/V6. The right hand is difficult to handle, especially when you have to hold a "lolotte" on it to reach the overchalked sloper.
