Description:

Description by Jim Langford who was part of the FA party; The beginning of the ridge is pretty easy 3rd class, except for a rotten overhang pitch that is the major obstacle to the top of the west peak. Above the west peak is a gendarme with a smooth face. Two pitches are needed to climb the west face of of this obstacle. These two pitches lead to a difficult pitch up and right around the top of the gendarme. Fairly easy climbing gets you onto the west summit. A short, overhanging pitch just past the col between the west summit and the main east summit is all that remains to complete the ascent. The guide book by Ortenburger says that the rotten rock makes this route hazardous. Jim Langford said it is a fun route if you are careful.
