Description:

This is the most beutiful route in the Tunnel Section, and the areas testpiece. From the river, it looks too narrow to climb as it drops off a 200 foot overhanging rock wall. Approach as for derailed, then climb the lower portion to a good stance to the left of the pillar. Climb the vertical to overhanging pillar above to the top. Use caution and wait till the route is in, the top ofthe pillar can be as narrow as three to five feet, and is often candlesticked and airy. The free rappell is almost 200 feet long, so plan accordingly (bring long ropes).
