Description:

There are two cracks that angle up and left, this is the lower of the two (hence the name). Another tell-tail sign is this crack leads up to a small ledge on the corner of the wall, about 10 ft below the top-out. The route starts at the base of an old, dead pine tree. This is also the start of upper diagnol. Follow the crack up towards the ledge (at the corner) and exit up through several variations. Hand and finger crack. Make sure you confident at the grade before you lead this one. The guide book puts it best, "How to place protection on the run."
