Description:

Start at the Island lake trail head. Continue on main trail for ~3 miles to the junction where you obranch off to the right and head up toward Becker, Albino, and Jasper Lakes. Follow this trail to Albino Lake, where it will begin to grow fainter as you skirt the lake to the left. Once you reach Jasper lake you will see a the northern drainage, hike along the lake and follow the drainage up to some mini lakes. Follow the path of least resistance to Triskele then head NW to Donnelson and Maryott lakes. From the Island @ Maryott head about due North (just over a hill) 'til you see "Micro Lake", from here just make a line for the Eastern Edge of Flatrock Lake (UP< DOWN > UP >DOWN). In the first valley head for the GIant Boulder in the grassfield, down the valley you can see crystal lake. Head back up the next little pass where there are some very cool looking HUGE BOULDERS! Head back down by flatrock, where you will follow Foresaken Lake's drainage up to ....Foresaken Lake...duh. Once at Foresaken, Push For The SUMMIT!....wonderful mountain. The shortest time you would want to take is 3 days from this approach, camping at Maryott both nights. 4 or 5 would be a LOT easier. We camped at Mariott and the approach/climb day was about 12-13 hours of solid hiking/climbing. The approach from Maryott to Foresaken took longer than expected due to a LOT of elevation gain/loss. This route was very cool, and appeared to be VERY seldom traveled between Maryott and Flatrock.
