Description:
I recall this as perhaps the best route I've put up in Zion, but it was so long ago that it is hard to put into perspective. Immediately to the right of the BIG ROCK SCAR of Shuntavi Butte is the big wide corner of Catharsis. Golden Years starts in the stunning right-facing dihedral about 80 meters to the right of that. Follow hand and finger cracks up big corner to face cracks above to summit. No route-finding needed. Descent: Rappel Catharsis and be wary of possible damage to rappel anchors by rockfall.
