Description:

This 17 pitch route can be climbed at 10d A0 or freed at 12a/b. The FFA was by Guy Edwards in the mid 1990s. The first third of the climb consists of mostly easy climbing in the 5.6 to 10a range up the lower slabs and grooves. The middle third is steeper and consists of mostly free climbing in the 5.10 range. The long bolt ladder (one and a half short pitches, about 20 bolts) by the cave can be freed at 12-, otherwise 10d A0. The uppermost third of the climb consists of runout slabs with tricky route finding. Trend well left to the top of the Pavilion Arete to finish. Rock on this route ranges from excellent to quite loose. Beware of flakes and blocks.
