5 out of 5 stars Super Nova

Good route. Pitches 2 - 8 are a tad run out offering bolts 15 - 25 feet apart with a first bolt as high as 25 feet out of the belay station. But the climbing is easy so its not too big of a deal. Just dont fall on the upper pitches! Linked pitches 6 and 7 with a 70m. The worst decision of my life. The drag was horrible. Dont link those pitches unless you put a 2 foot sling on every bolt.

3 out of 5 stars good first pitch

fun, stout first pitch and then a ladder. Plenty of better multipitch routes to be had with better views, exposure, and rock.

Partner and I used it to get our simulclimbing technique down in prep for timewave zero.

3 out of 5 stars Tick

Aside from a stout first pitch the rest of this was a ladder. None of the other pitches really felt harder than 5.7. For a real quick ascent do 2 pitches at a time and simul-rap with two 70 meter ropes (3 rappels total). Save the hassle of throwing your rope(s) into the bushes and ocotillo by flaking them onto a sling for the rappels.

5 out of 5 stars worth the hike in

Awesome climb! Got rid of the hard stuff right away. My foot popped off on P1 right at the 3rd bolt but that was my only fall, the rest was clean. I led P1,2,5,7,8, and Shocksll had 3,4 and 6. Awesome views of the Virgin Canyon all the way up!
