Ascent Notes for: Another Roadside Distraction - 5.10b Average Rating : 3.44/5

Did this climb after a bunch of hours in the car and a hike in Day Canyon. The day was getting late. I had to get at least one climb in before the sun went down. I chose this typical sketchy looking desert pitch. I remember putting in at least one cam down low that did not look so trustworthy. The rock had a discontinuous hairline fracture on the side. Oh well, pro and go. The rest of the climb was uneventful. Sandy cracks with loose-looking interiors are a blast!

broken rock up to great lieback.

don't hang out too much to place pro at the beginnig, it gets pumpy, but there is rest and than some fun climbing to the top

really fun.

for some unknown reason, decided not to layback and thus, did not do as well as I wanted to. Still, got up it. Nice warmup, definitely.

if you can't make it to the Creek

The last 15-20' is the best part!
