the best single pitch I did on a month long climbing trip. eats finger to hand sized gear

its not too hot to climb in july! at dawn! though it was *terrifically* (terrifyingly) windy just before dawn. scrambled up the fourth class, waited out the wind, climbed as the sun broke. led the first pitch, followed the second, soloed the scary "4th class" to the summit. not G rated, only because of the many potentially grave falls on the flanking 4th class sections.

First pitch is great with easy jams (for a newbie crack climber), and the second pitch is fine up until the left facing dihedral starts to over hang and the crack in that weird range between hand and fist, I got 3/4 the way to the top and took my first trad fall (15 feet) then climb higher, placed another piece and took another 20 ft wipper later...moral of the story...a great climb, sew it up better than I did.

This is a great easier route to summit.

After climbing the first pitch 2x a week or so earlier, we returned to this route and added the 2nd pitch today. I like this climb, and it seemed easier than the offwidth climbs of El Cracko and Wiessner yesterday (even it does have a higher difficulty grading). This was the first of two summit climbs today.

Did the first pitch of this route twice... Loved it!

a nice route first freed by kor himself. not much harder than el cracko (and WAY better!)
