4 out of 5 stars Very worthwhile route

The approach we took was straight up from the deck below, to the first bolt @ about 35-40ft. The routethen passes two bolts to a pair of shale ledges - these flex underfoot as a long reach makes the next clip. the route then really begins, throught the roof section, which is the hard part - physical and reachy rather than technical, a last bolt over the roof leaves a little runout to the anchors, a #1 C4 will protect this section, but is not neccesary as the ground is easier than it looks and the fall wouuld leave you in space anyway. The early runout is over easy terrain 5.5 at hardest, but the exposre here is big - a fall will send you tumbling not just to the deck but probably most of the way to the river unless you get stopped by a tree! Great fun ascent.
