Description:

Easy Alpine Ice. Biggest objective hazard is rocks and other climbers. Go in early June for best route conditions. Climb on a Monday to avoid the crowds. Don't go in July when the lower part turns to scree and rockfall is more of an issue. Great ski route for experts. Hire a guide if you have never climbed before.

4 out of 5 stars First 14k, Great Experience

Very little snow on the Mtn. this year. Nothing below Helen Lake. No snow on Misery Hill or summit. Hardest sections for me were climbing through Red Banks and using the poop bag at 14000 feet in the wind. Don't forget acclimation. Several people didn't summit due to AMS.
