Description:
Hey, what can I say? Not everyone's a hardman. This is a beginner route, no doubt about it. It's also a great route to get introduced to multi-pitch climbing. Great protection, with the exception of the 4th pitch, which is unprotected for the first 30 feet, and a little airy for a beginner. Route finding WON'T be a problem. To find the route, find lunch rock (the big rock at the top of the trail) and head left. There's an old piton about 50 feet up the route. The climb has one 5.3 move (maybe) and the rest is really 4th class.

Ascent Note
Simul-climbed Dave's Deviation to The Trough and topped out in about 25 minutes, then down-soloed it back to the base. This is the best and the fastest way off Tahquitz!
