5 out of 5 stars Beautiful!

This is one T-Wall 5.8 that is rounded down! I think the 'real' grade was 5.899999! It is so easy to protect, and the locks are almost as good as "In Pursuit..." You will do it more than once if you hang around T-Wall very often.

5 out of 5 stars We will meet again on a dry day...

It seem that everytime I get on this line it's wet....I am hoping for dry rock next week for a nice clean encounter. The moves are borderline intense if you have sloppy footwork (like me with my size 47.5's)...but what do I know, I've never attempted it dry!

4 out of 5 stars Good Warmup on Great stone...

This was actually my first Trad lead many years ago...fun route. I've done it now more times than I can remember, and it's still fun. A good route to put aspiring leaders on...

3 out of 5 stars Helter Shelter...Short Mt. "Roped Bouldering"

Short and pumpy, but worthwhile. I think Jeff [Noffsinger]fixed the first nut, and I ended up backing it up with another fixed nut (#5 BD) while I was working the crux moves around the corner. I used a #2.5 Clog (= #1 Camalot), and a #4 WC Friend. If you are concerned about getting the first piece of gear placed and clipped in the "buisness section" of the crack, pad the large boulder under the route. I'm pretty tall, so I nearly swung into it and smashed my ankle during a fall. Good luck.

3 out of 5 stars Interesting moves, unlike anything else at T-Wall...

Easily protected by the small seam on the left side of the chimney, so no large gear is needed until very close to the top (but the climbing is quite easy up top, so you can run it out through the wide gear section...it's not scary). The 5.8 grade seemed a bit high for the climb though. I'm not the "Grading Gestapo" or anything, I guess it depends on your body type. *(I'm 6'2" 185)
