cyberclimber's Logbook (5 ascents)

This was a fun route, a bit polished and thin on hand holds to start, but well protected and much less polished above the ledge. The overhang was fun, super holds right where you need them. This was my first 5.10+ lead and only my 2nd sport lead since I usually climb in a trad area. I didn't have a guidebook and thought this was a much easier grade climb or I might not have tried it, but I'm glad I did. It's short but fun.

This was my first ever sport lead since I usually climb in a trad area and also my first Mexico climb. The bottom was a bit polished but it was well bolted and higher up the holds were less slick. It's a fun little route. Just getting off the deck on the polished holds was the crux for me, the slight overhang had good holds. I forgot my chalk bag and that would have helped the start a little.

I took my first lead fall on this route, a 20ft grounder. Placed one #6 BD nut off ledge, climbed to diving board, mantled it and then just slipped off. The nut held but I was too far above it, hit ledge with left foot (severe sprain), bounced to the dirt below, drug belayer 5 ft. Shook off dust and finished the ascent

Very fun route.

Bootied a nut and some webbing, no clear route. Some chossy rock and dirt. Not worth repeating.
