4 out of 5 stars Much More Classic

Way better route than Eiger Sanction in my opinion. More intuitive and interesting in my opinion. Seemed a little more runout in an easier spot but nothing too serious.

3 out of 5 stars Weird

Weird climb, akward start with a lot of bolts, then a weird bulge at the top. I like the route next to it better.

5 out of 5 stars First 11er

Nice easy climb. 7 hours car to car with some lazing about on the summit. Cool final ridge. Glacier difficulties were pretty easy.

4 out of 5 stars Great Rockies Intro

I hadn't climbed in Canada before so this was a nice easy day route to get an introduction to the snow conditions and how things roll up there. Climbed the 3-4 couloir to the backside of the Neil Colgan and headed up from there.

Note to self don't let partners talk you into downclimbing steep snow roped together. Plenty of better options.

5 out of 5 stars Good Intro Glacier

Really pretty area and the blueberries are amazing. Somewhat confusing in early morning light because of the scale of features. Came from Rousch Creek bivy. The distance isn't that far it's just complicated terrain and steep! Pretty straightforward until the top. Probably easier early season. That knife edge is an attention getter though.

5 out of 5 stars Great Snow Climb

This is a great alpine climb, big too. We took a leisurely pace choosing to complete it in 5 days. Summited on the 4th and hiked out from Camp Sherman the 5th. Cold and snow on the first and last days. Almost all snow climbing. Advise getting to the ridge on the climbers right side of it. Didn't summit Rainier, just Liberty Cap. Whatever, I'll get it some other time. It's an alpine route but can be kept reasonably safe with pickets and ice screws.

3 out of 5 stars Hate Snow

So we wallowed thru snow for about 4 hours to reach the base. After doing a couple laps it started to get dark and we headed back. 6 hours car to car for 1 pitch of ice is not worth it for me. Next time it snows two feet I'll just stay home.

3 out of 5 stars Not Classic

This isn't as classic as I thought it would be. Spindrift is constant, it's not super easy to find non-hanging belays out of the way of ice. Climbing is fun though.

3 out of 5 stars Tight Groove

Felt really claustrophobic on this route. Good ice though and fun climbing.
