I can't remember if I fell once or not....either way, I remember having to figure out the moves just after the second bolt. Once those were figured out, everything just fell into place, and went really smooth.

Fell once at the second bolt, and once again trying the roof. It was probably one of the hardest 11d's I have ever tried. I would suggest a grade of 5.12b, but hey...that's just me.

I hangdogged it at the very beginning, ie the very first move. Figured that out, then at a bouldery move to get to the dihedral (sp?). I figured that out pretty quick, then at the very top, which is kinda tricky. Was able to top out, but thought it was hard for an 11b, after some of the 11c's that I had done. I would give it an 11c, but that's just me.

I really enjoyed this route. After working it, and figuring out how to work a knee bar properly (which is where I spent most of my energy), I know that I'd be able to redpoint it in a second try. Too bad my trip was only three days. (I did this on the last day). The crux is definitely pulling the lip, by use of a knee bar. You can do it without one, but the guy who got the second ascent, said that that is how he, and most people he has seen, do it.

I had never attempted a 12b before, so I my mind was playing games with me, and I took two un-needed rests. I'd be able to get a redpoint on a second try. Very good climb, nice and inclined. The top out on the right is easier (for me. some people prefer the left). Good holds on top on the right make it a good powerful top out. YOU MUST be careful clipping the second bolt, because if you miss it, and fall, you'll groud fall (onto a huge ledge).

I found it kinda boring. Jug and pull, jug and pull, jug and pull. I would recommend it for a warm-up, but not for a tic.

Sharp rock. Harder climbing at the beginning, and a really easy slab on top. Lot's of feet on the slab.

interesting climb. pretty easy though. If you really want to practice stemming, climb Flyin Hawaiian in Waimea.
