3 out of 5 stars steep

I followed this one, did the crack without stemming and poped off about 20 feet up, with rope stretch I almost hit the slab. The rest of the route went great, but a tough lead for shortys. cheers to Eric the 18 yr old ropegun who bravely led me up this petch classic!

3 out of 5 stars nice one TAD!

Thought I'd go light on gear for this one, 6 pack of nuts and 5 cams to 3", sustained and flared, pretty clean for the most part, placement options abound if you are prepared to clean the cracks. Send in the nubiles for this one! oh and its long like 145 ft to a good ledge and you cant hear your belayer.

5 out of 5 stars Var.

Another variation to craven image heads up the chimney/gully past the pin and belays to the left of the large detached flake 35 ft above the pin. P3 starts up the groove above the belay, mandatory 40 foot runout on sustained 5.6 with a splash of .7 to a good crack system. after 110 feet or so move left onto the large sandy ledge directly under the bowl. Finish with p4, a superb line moving up and right of the bowl, through 5.7 wide cracks under the roofs. Pull onto last roof section (airy) and finish at the top. I dont know the exact line for craven image, carville guidebook shows a line. Either way I have climbed it twice both times different and fun in thier own right. Its hard not to find a way up around 5.8 anywhere!

4 out of 5 stars Pillar var.

did the 5.8 var on the second pitch without the 7". great Ow or corner chimney. it might be real tough to fall out of this one.

4 out of 5 stars wrong way?

Tyler lead this in good style by moving right around the corner and up 50 feet to the anchors. When I seconded I noticed a bolt up and left of the black dike on the face where you traverse right to the horn. either way nice climb!
