Man, just have fun and don't get worked up or pissed if you can't get something.

On a more specific note, climb stuff you can do if you're into chasing points. I set and then judged for a local bouldering comp a while back, and i wanted to smack some of the competitors I knew who spent the bulk of their time working problems way outside of their ability levels just because they were the "cooler problems."

I've done a few comp's now.

Warming up is key. A couple of the comps I did they gave you a very small section of wall for x amount of people, very cramped and no room. Just go for a litlte run around the car park and warm your arms up.

Don't panic or rush through. I found this was holding me back on alot of flash attempts. Now I just jump on the problem and slowly work my way through. I try not to over commit to a move, always have a way to get back. (unless you gotta dyno etc)

You only get one flash, don't ruin it with silly climbing Smile

Try everything. Get on problems you think you might not be able to do. Have a great time.

Eat thirty boiled eggs 2 hrs before. In Mexico that means you have more "huevos" to compete.
