Some time you have to get creative on a climb and protect the best you can. Or risk a run out and a big fall. I have used nested nuts useally one inverted and it work very well. I dont see why this would not hold a fall or at least ease the mental crux. It would be cool to test the placemant and see how it holds. Now which to clip in to the Hex or the cam. . .

The hex will never engage the cam. The lobes will just fold under fingertip pressure.
