About Windmill Hole:

Windmill Hole is 5km from anywhere in East London. The hole is better know for its rock jumping into the deep pool. This is where the first climbing phase started and the first bolted route occured. We carried a generator and extesion cords in and drilled Bliksem, The Crossing Guard and Not The Millennium Route. Routes number 15 and range between grades 14 - 25. Routes are a mixture of bolted and trad. Rock type is Sedimentary/mud stone. BRING SWIMMING GEAR!
Nearest town or city: East London
Directions: Travel to the end of Western Avenue. Turn right into Two Rivers Drive. Travel for about 4km. Turn left into Red Deer Way. Left into Snow Water Road. Approximately 100m down the dead-end, park at the tree stump. Follow the path towards the river through thick bush. Walk-in +- 10 minutes - easy.
