About Tata's Climbing wall:
| The first artificial sport climbing wall in Jharkhand inaugurated Promotion of sports and adventre, as well as the development of outstanding sportsmen and women began at Tata Steel long ago and it has now become a way of life in this company. In this context, once Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation had said that Tatas represent the 'Spirit of Adventure'. One more event that exemplifies this spirit was inaugurated today, on October 15, 2004 by Niroop Mahanty, vice president human resource management, Tata Steel, and a sky and scuba diver himself. It is the first artificial sports climbing wall of international standard, 15m high 6m wide in Jharkhand / Bihar constructed by Tata Steel, on which the 10th East Zone Sport Climbing Competition (EZSCC), the first of its kind in Jharkhand, was also inaugurated. |
