About Nyamuk:

Nyamuk means Mosquito in Bahasa Malaysia. Though there are lots of them here, they are decreasing rapidly as a result of the clearing of the area for climbing purposes. Nonetheless do bring along mosquito coils. The development of this crag started in Spring 2002 and the place has become the biggest and most attractive crag in Batu Caves since; check the route lists for updates. At the moment there are 60 routes, ranged from 5a - 8a+, and some projects. The routes are generally steep and long, anchors and bolts are glue-inīs... High trees provide good shade for belayer and climber and you can even climb some of the routes if the rain is not too heavy. Note: the routes are listed per sector, always from left to right Bouldering: There are some large Boulderblocks scattered at the base of the crag, the biggest of them being Anopheles, featuring routes. All other blocks offer various, mostly steep boulder problems. Some of the landing zones are scary, however, we are working on them to make them more feasible for safe bouldering. Currently there are about 30 problems and some projects.

Approx. 1 km after the temple you reach a BP Petrol station; turn left directly after the station into an area called Taman Industry Bolton. Park after those forklifts on either side of the road and head left into the village next to a coffee shop called "ANIE". Follow this street (lorong) till the end, there turn left and follow the trail to the rocks. Refer to the sector map: for Ridsect turn right at the boulder block, for all other sectors go straight and follow the path that starts at the water tank.
