About Goanna Point-Helidon Hills:

Goanna Point is one of those old school trad areas which has been climbed on for years and years but has never had any info written down. Consider all climbs in this locale as having been done before. It`s a real adventure location where stepping up to the line and sending it with no beta is the norm. This crag is all sandstone and is reported to be bomber rock. It is in the shape of a u and can be climbed all year round due to the fact that shade can be had all day. Summer could be very hot though so I`d go in there only during the cooler months.
Nearest town or city: Brisbane/Toowoomba
Directions: Aproach via Paradise Creek Road (get a local roads directory for this), go to end of road and drop down into creek. This next bit will be walking. Head north east along creek for aprox 40 minutes. Crag will be the prominent peninsular of sandstone on your left.
